At the English
Lesson
My name is Pete. I go to the primary school number 25. I am a pupil of
the fourth form.
Our school specializes in
English. Pupils begin to study English in the first form. In the first form we
learnt English letters and sounds, began
to write and read words and short texts.
In the first, second and third forms we had three English lessons a
week. This year
we have four lessons.
At the English lessons we learn new words, poems, dialogues. We read a lot about English-speaking countries, about people, their life and
traditions. Also we speak about our families, friends and hobbies.
When I was in the first form I couldn’t write English sentences. I could
write letters and some words. Now I can write English sentences. We often write
dictations at the lessons. Writing in English is really difficult.
Listening is very interesting. We listen to texts, poems and songs.
Also we do a lot of grammar exercises to speak English correctly.
As you see, we work hard at school and at home to learn English.
Remember the proverb: “A new language- a new world”.
